Stirring Tune Resonates Strongly with Audiences and Radio
Nashville, TN (April 20, 2016) – Jason Crabb’s newest release to radio, “Home†– from his Provident/Sony release Whatever The Road, is resonating with listeners and programmers alike.
In early 2015, when the Grammy winner began recording the song, he had no way of knowing the significance it would soon hold in his life.
Spend just a few moments around Jason and you’re going to hear about his beloved grandmother, Billie Richardson. When the song was brought to Jason by his father, Gerald Crabb, he immediately knew he wanted to record it but only God knew the way the song would impact Jason’s life and in turn, the lives of so many others.
During the recording process, Jason’s grandmother, Billie, passed away, bringing a deeply personal meaning to “Home.†Jason explains: “The song opens up with ‘she just drew her last breath’ and I’m telling you – some nights I can’t even get through that line! I miss her so much. My Mamaw was the one I called when I got discouraged or had a problem – she’d tell me ‘Jase, when you get to the end of your rope, just tie a knot in it and hang on…and know that God’s hanging onto the other end.’ This song talks about the process of losing a loved one to heaven – and the fact that it makes us, here on earth, want to go home. I’m telling you now, I can’t wait to go ‘home’ and see all my loved ones – and I know she’ll be waiting for me there. I know it’s something everyone can relate to because every single night, I hear stories from the audience. This song is truly hitting ‘home’ with so many.â€
Recently sent to radio, the song is also striking a chord with radio programmers. Here are just a few comments about the song:

“Another masterpiece from the voice of Jason and the pen of Gerald. “HOME” should remind us of a place of peace, safety and comfort. The song “HOME” does just that. Even as our heart breaks as loved ones pass, we find comfort knowing that they’ve felt their last pain, God himself has wiped that last tear and the soul is enjoying unending rest…they are HOME.â€
