The Harvester Quartet is excited to announce that Mark Hoggard will be joining the quartet as our new bass singer. Mark previously sang with his dad for approximately 25 years in The Laymen Quartet. He continued to keep The Laymen Quartet on the road after his dad passed in 2004 until he decided to come off the road to spend more time with his family. He returned to the road after approximately 5 years to help The Harvesters on a fill-in basis which resulted in a permanent position. Mark states “I’m enjoying singing again with a great group of men that share the Gospel of Christ, ministering to people and making new friends everywhere we singâ€
Mark comes to The Harvesters filling the vacancy left by 13 year veteran bass singer Jim Collins who retired from the road. Danny Parker of The Harvesters states,â€We are excited to have Mark as a member of The Harvesters Quartet. He will be taking over the duties of our stage sound along with singing bass. Mark is not just an awesome bass singer but he is an accomplished song writer as well. We are looking forward to recording and staging some of his songs in the futureâ€
Mark is married to Amanda with an anniversary date of September 3, 1988. They have 2 children, a daughter Briana and a son Trey. Briana and her husband Kevin are expecting their first child in December and excited would be an understatement for them. Trey just graduated from high school and will begin college at Chowan University this fall. Mark resides in Colerain, NC which is located in the north eastern part of North Carolina.
The Harvesters ask you to help us in welcoming Mark and his family to The Harvesters family. We would also like to invite you to come out and enjoy this new season of music and ministry for The Harvesters.
