Nashville, TN (July 16, 2015)…StowTown Records along with the powerhouse and popular mixed group, The Browns, are thrilled to announce the release of their brand new project, Aim Higher.
“The Browns are excited to release our sophomore project with StowTown Records,” said Shelly Brown. “Wayne Haun has gone over and above on the production and arrangements for this album.
Aim Higher features a touch of various styles, including a classical instrumental rendition of Beethoven’s “Fur Elise“, a celtic version of  “Sinners Come to the River“, and a Bluegrass version of Third Day’s contemporary Christian track, “Soul on Fire“, which is the new radio single from the project.
The album also includes several brand new songs like the title track, “Aim Higher“, as well as “On the Winning Side” and “Know You Now.”
“Writing with Joel Lindsey for this project was inspiring and lots of fun!” Shelly added. “The songs on this album speak to the things we believe in and will make listeners smile from beginning to end.”
The Browns hosted many family and friends for a special CD Release Party this past Thursday night at the Olson Event Center in their hometown of Le Mars, IA.
Aim Higher is now available at Christian retailers, most bookstores and digital outlets.
The extremely talented family quartet, consisting of Shelly and her three children, Adam, Michaela, and Andrew, recently re-signed with StowTown Records following the initial two years which included its debut album, Love Loud, released in 2013. Their first radio single from that project, “Rock and Redeemer“, made an immediate splash in the gospel music world.
“The Browns are so excited to be working with the StowTown team,†said Shelly. “They believe in our music and are behind our family 100 percent. We are looking forward to partnering with them for many years to come.â€
The Iowa farm family, now in their 14th year traveling with the full-time ministry, is no stranger to the Southern Gospel music industry.
