Steve McMullen, owner of Consolidated Media Group announced today a Northwest tour by Gospel Music recording artists, Ann Downing and Logan Smith.
The tour begins August 22 in Boise, Idaho and concludes in Springfield Oregon on Sunday August 26. Downing, a Dove Award winner and a founding member of the legendary Downings has made an extensive effort in the past year to reestablish the Downing name in the Pacific Northwest, that included a Christmas Tour in 2011. 15 year old Logan Smith, a rising star in Southern Gospel Music is best known for his renditions of songs recorded by the late Vestal Goodman. When Logan takes the stage, singing songs like Satisfied or Wouldn’t Take Nothing for My Journey Now, you are immediately taken back to the all night singings of yesteryear, where the Happy Goodman Family and the Spear Family with Ann Downing graced the stage of every major concert.
Some people may wonder what Ann Downing and Logan Smith have in common? The answer isn’t that complex. There love for the Lord, and their desire to share the gift that God gave each of them, keeps both of these artists on the road across America almost every week. From the smallest church to the world wide distribution of the Gaither Homecoming Video’s these two have managed to capture the hearts of young and old alike.
Opening for Ann and Logan in Boise Idaho and Richland Washington will be Homeland Harmony Quartet of Nampa Idaho. This group has rapidly made a name for itself, as one of premiere quartets in the Northwest. With tight harmonies, great stage presence and lives that match the message of the songs they sing, Homeland has become a go to group for promoters throughout the area.
Look for more dates to be announced in the next week. For more information call Steve at 208-577-6990.
