We are in the Christmas Spirit at SGNScoops! If you listen closely, you may hear us sing! Between now and Christmas, we want to share our favorite Christmas songs with you, our readers!
Rob Patz says: “My favorite Christmas song hands down is ‘O Holy Night.’  It just says what everyone feels at this time of year. This song  renews hope and joy. My favorite lines are these powerful words:
Long lay the world in sin and error pining.
Till He appeared and the Soul felt its worth.
A thrill of hope the weary world rejoices,
For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn.
“‘O Holy Night’ reminds me of what a special night that really was. That was the night Christ came into the world to become an offering for you and for me.”
Rhonda Frye says: “I have two! One is ‘Jingle Bells!’ As part of my music ministry, I teach a preschool music and movement program called ‘Mini Music.’ I teach in five schools serving approximately 400 children per week. There’s just something special about ‘Jingle Bells’ that delights my kids- even if they are too young to sing! Their faces light up and they just can’t control their wiggles and giggles. They truly sing it with all their hearts- unrestrained holding nothing back!Â
My other favorite is ‘Away In A Manger.’ There is nothing more precious in the world than little angelic voices singing AND little hands acting out the motions. The best part is when they close their little eyes and lay their sweet heads on their hands as they sing ‘The little Lord Jesus asleep on the hay.” Thank God for kids, right?
