The Pacesetters are honored to announce the addition of baritone singer Devon Jones and bass singer Clayton Weaver!! Devon Jones (formerly Billings), an Oklahoma native, has strong roots in Country Christian music.
Born the youngest into a family of four to a single mother in College, He experienced in a short time what most dont in a lifetime.
At seven years, old he along with his brother and two sisters were thrust into foster care system shortly after the tragic death of his mother and grandmother in a house fire. Six years, 27 foster homes later, Devon was adopted by a family who provided him a home until he could make his own way. He credits them with a large portion of his vision and views on life.
Devon has served as everything from a worship director to a youth director and has performed with a select few country & Christian groups over the last few years such as Josh Michaels, Gene Watson, Tracy Byrd to Majesty IV. He has had the honor of sharing the stage with such acts as The McKameys, Purpose, Chronicle, The Hoppers, The Easters.
Devon will be replacing baritone, Freddy Cox, who will be stepping down at the end of the year to spend time with family.
Clay Weaver hails from Flomaton, Alabama, and has extensive
performance experience. Clay’s favorite part of a quartet is the bass. His favorite basses are George Younce, Tim Riley, Jeff Chapman, Eric Bennett, just to name a few. Clay is a recent graduate of the University of Mobile with a major in History and minor in Music with theater emphasis. Clay has a strong Christian upbringing and is very vocal about his love for Christ and his desire to see others touched by the Master’s grace.
