Annual Event Largest Single Event Ever Hosted by City of Pigeon Forge, TN!
The hills of the Great Smoky Mountains are filled with more than music these days! Sounds of phones ringing and emails sent back and forth is filling the air at the office of the NQC (National Quartet Convention) as Clarke Beasley, and everyone associated with the annual event, are busily preparing for thousands of Gospel music lovers to descend upon Pigeon Forge, TN for the 2014 NQC!
“We are absolutely overwhelmed by the response our move to Pigeon Forge has received,†Beasley stated. “We set high goals and high expectations when we decided to move to Pigeon Forge, but we would not have dared to project this kind of attendance. Not since the late 1990’s have sales been this high and an all-time attendance record is a real possibility.”
Especially exciting is the fact that 30% of the crowd for this year will be first-time attendees of the event.
“The NQC is the biggest prolonged group event in Pigeon Forge’s history, and everyone in the tourism and hospitality industry is geared up and ready,†said Leon Downey, executive director of the Pigeon Forge Department of Tourism. Beasley emphasized that city, county and state officials have all been tremendously supportive and many of them will be present at a special grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony on Monday, September 22nd, at the main entrance of the LeConte Center.
The 2014 edition of NQC – the National Quartet Convention – will be held September 21-27, 2014 in the brand-new Leconte Center in gorgeous Pigeon Forge, TN!
