On Tuesday, November 16th, Matt Felts of the Dixie Melody Boys was honored in home town of St. Charles, Missouri. Mayor Patricia York presented Matt with a proclamation on behalf of the city of St. Charles during a city council meeting. A suburb of St. Louis, St. Charles was the gateway to the west, serving as the base for the Lewis and Clark expedition. It was also the gateway to a career in Gospel music for Felts. “I started singing in churches around the area and God began to open doors.” said Matt. “It is a tremendous honor and I will always consider St. Charles and St. Louis home.” added Matt. Mayor york stated “Matt’s acclaimed voice and powerful testimony have made him a favorite all across the nation. We are proud to call him a native son.”
