We asked Joseph Habedank .. What is your favorite Christmas Memory?
Oddly enough, my favorite Christmas memory was just last year, in 2013. I had been out of work for nearly 7 months and we knew Christmas might be a little different. We enjoy going all out for Christmas when it comes to buying gifts for our family, but we just weren’t sure how we were going to make it work. However, my wife just so happens to be one of the greatest bargain shoppers you’ll ever meet (she gets it from my mother-in-law). Throughout the year, she will start buying Christmas gifts at incredible deals, then store her purchases in our guest room closet. As she was wrapping gifts, she started noticing that there were presents she had forgotten about. Then a friend gave us an abundance of items that we could use as gifts for almost every person on our list. As we kept up with our spending for each person, it came to around $30 for 79 gifts, all of which we would have been delighted to give even in a year of plenty. Christmas 2013 is now affectionately known as “The Loaves and Fishes Christmas.†I’m so grateful for the perfect providence of God. Merry Christmas, everyone!
