The Georgia Country & Gospel Music Association will present the 8th Annual Awards Show on November 6, 2010.  The Georgia Country & Gospel Music Association is based out of Georgia, but includes nominees from 12 states.  There are over 370 awards to be given out covering categories in country and gospel music.  In addition to the awards, a new music scholarship will awarded for the first time this year.   First and second place winners from each category and age division will advance to the Nationals (North American Country Music Association International ) held the first week of March in Pigeon Forge, TN.
“We’re so excited about our GCGMA awards this year- we have so much planned for the evening! MCA Recording Artist, Mallary Hope is scheduled to perform during the awards show.  “Mallary is managed by Brad Paisley’s manager and has had 2 songs this year to hit billboard.  Being that Mallary’s father is a preacher, she has strong gospel roots.  In addition to Mallary Hope, we have a special surprise guest! This surprise guest is a CMA award winning artist that has had 5 songs in the top 5 country music charts and has performed at the Grand Ole Opry over 300 times.  We are honored to have him perform at our GCGMA Awards Show.   We are looking forward to having Mallary Hope, our surprise guest and GCGMA nominees from across the southeastern states to perform throughout the evening. It will be a wonderful night for all!” – Alisa Asbury- President, GCGMA
