Newest Single “He is Mine” Gaining National Attention
Â
Nashville, TN, March 2, 2015. One of Southern Gospel music’s most recognizable trios, Eighth Day has recently completed their newest project “I’m Gonna Say It”. The album features songs written by some of today’s top songwriters. The first single from the album “He is Mine” has been added by radio stations across the country. This much anticipated project is set to be released in March, 2015.
When asked about their newest recording, Eighth Day’s Scott Robinson said “We are SO excited about the release of our brand new recording, “I’m Gonna Say It”. It features 10 songs from Monty Lane Allen and Robert Arthur which have written nearly every song we have ever recorded including all of the Top 10 Singing News hits. We also have a couple of songs by Kenna West, Sue Smith, Lee Black, John Lemonis, and Wendy Wills”. Robinson added “We were blessed to use some of the top musicians in Nashville, and truly feel that vocally this is our best work yet”.
Les Butler, manager and radio promoter states, “Their new single, “He Is Mine,” is quickly getting traction at radio. I’ve been hearing bits and pieces as they’ve been putting the entire album together. This slow tease is not fair! This is turning out to be some kind of record!”
Lottie Squires from WCKB in Dunn, SC added “I’m so very, very excited about FINALLY having a new CD from Eighth Day! (It’s about time!) I remember sitting with Joni at NQC way too many years ago, listening to a rough mix of songs from “Everything Holy,” and knowing I was hearing something special…and I know this one will be special, too. Of course, at this point, Eighth Day could sing the collected works of Dr. Seuss and I’d be thrilled to have it! Now I’m just waiting for them to come back to my area for a concert and a nice, long visit!
Regarding the impact that Eighth Day hopes the CD has on listeners, Scott Robinson said “These are songs that should speak to the hearts of folks in many different places in this walk of faith. We are anxious to share them with the world. It’s time we Christians take a stand.”
About Eighth Day
It’s been said that it takes a while for a musical group to truly bond and consistently render solid performances. Eighth Day certainly proves that point. They have had the same members since 2002, and have a created a sound and style that audiences everywhere immediately connect with. A reduced travel schedule for the past couple of years has given new energy to this  ministry. “We took some time away to live the life cycle that God has so richly blessed us with, focusing on our relationship with Him and our family unit,†Joni Robinson shared. Eighth Day is comprised of vocalist Joni Robinson, her husband lead singer and emcee Scott Robinson and Baritone singer and office manager Derek Parker. Eighth Day is based on Roebuck, S.C. and their website is www.eighthdaymusic.com. You can also follow the group on Facebook at Eighth Day Music.
