{Nashville, TN 7/30/10} Chris Hester recently signed a booking agreement with Evie Hawkins (EHA-Nashville.) Hester’s Christian Country song, “Empty Handed,” climbs a notch for the month of August on the Singing News charts and he celebrates his 2nd Top 40 song for 2010. From his newest project “Steps I’ve Taken,” the song is rapidly becoming a favorite from its Singing News debut on the Top 80 a few months ago and continues to rise into the 30’s. The Dottie Rambo classic song, “Tears Will Never Stain The Streets of that City,” from his much awaited sophomore project-in collaboration with Misty Freeman,- was submitted for a Dove nomination earlier this year by the Rick Hendrix Company.
Hester is especially grateful to the radio promotions staff at Spin-N-Motion and Kim Hudgins for their work on “Empty Handed.” He recently recorded a video which is being aired on numerous Christian television stations and was directed by Glenn Sweitzer of Fresh Films of Nashville.
