Two Predominant Industry Sites Combine To Become One-Stop Shop for All Things Southern Gospel
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – (February 10, 2011) – The administrators and staff of AbsolutelyGospel.com (formerly SoGospelNews.com) are proud to announce the merger of the site’s extensive discussion forum with the Southern Gospel music industry’s largest message board community – SouthernGospelForums.com.
SouthernGospelForums.com was founded two years ago by popular Southern Gospel blogger and industry worker Daniel Mount and several other devoted fans of Southern Gospel music. After years of unprecedented growth, the SouthernGospelForums.com community and AbsolutelyGospel.com have agreed to join forces so they can get the technical support needed to keep up with the growth and demand of both sites.
“I am thankful for the great times we’ve had for the last few years at Southern Gospel Forums,†mentioned Daniel Mount. “Lately, I’ve simply been ready to take a break from administrator and technical responsibilities—both to avoid burnout and to devote more time to my writing efforts at SouthernGospelBlog.com and elsewhere. Since we didn’t have any forum members step up to take my place handling the technical end of running the forums, we decided to accept Absolutely Gospel’s gracious offer of a merger.â€
The moderating and administrative staff of SouthernGospelForums.com will remain intact, with AbsoltuelyGospel.com’s Deon and Chris Unthank stepping in as technical support.
Daniel continued, “The remainder of Southern Gospel Forums’ capable moderating team—Diana, Lynn, and Naomi—will be making the move to being moderators at Absolutely Gospel. They have proven that they can handle the diplomacy and housekeeping aspects of running a site, and, naturally, over the last decade and more, the Unthanks have demonstrated their prowess at the technical end. So with that load off my shoulders, I’m looking forward to participating, once again, in the simpler role of someone who loves this music!”
