Poca, WV (Aug 15, 2011) The Goodwins of Poca WV, have recently added
yet another family member to their long standing Southern Gospel family legacy. Brandon Drake, son of lead singer Martha Drake & grandson to Baritone singer, John Goodwin has now officially joined the group as a full time vocalist. Over the past couple of years, Brandon has played various instruments with the group including drums, & guitar which he still plays on occasion. He began singing a short time ago & has developed into a fabulous talent. The Goodwins new CD appropriately titled “Family Traditions” is slated for an early September release & will include selections from their newest member.

Brandon is a freshman at Poca High School in Poca, WV and a member of Poca High School’s show choir, Visual Volume. His plans are to remain with the group & pursue the college path to expand his pursuits in music.

The Goodwins now consist of John Goodwin, Martha Goodwin-Drake, 6 year old Katie Drake (sister to Brandon), the group’s sound technician, Alfred Drake & Brandon Drake.
