CARDIOLOGIST RECOUNTS THE HEALING POWER OF PRAYER IN NEW BOOK

Nashville, TN – October 29, 2010–Colorado-based cardiologist Dr. Mark Sheehan shares the firsthand accounts of hope and healing in the lives of his patients in a new book, Healing Prayer on Holy Ground, available through Creation House.

A practicing cardiologist for nearly 30 years, Sheehan recalls his personal transformation from a physician with all the answers to a man saved by grace, humbly dependent on the One who is in charge of life and death. Healing Prayer on Holy Ground, co-written with Dr. Sheehan’s son Chris Sheehan, provides example after example of God’s powerful presence inside the rooms of dying patients.

It recounts the near-death experience of Kasey, who heard the voices of prayer warriors who were praying both audibly and silently while she was in a coma. It also tells the shocking story of a patient who was denied entrance into heaven at his death but made a complete turnaround after being miraculously revived.

“The purpose of the book is to give people hope and encouragement through times of pain and suffering and remind them they are not alone,” says Sheehan. “I want everyone to know there’s a loving God who longs to hear from them. Pain and suffering often bring people to God, and the power of prayer comes from developing our relationship with God.”

Healing Prayer on Holy Ground is co-published through Creation House, a division of Strang Communications. The book is currently available online at www.hpohg.com as well as via digital retail outlets including Amazon.com, barnesandnoble.com and christianbook.com.
