Maysville, GA The Grove, in Maysville, GA was the place to be just a couple of weeks ago when the Pruitt Family had their third “Night of Southern Joyâ€. It was truly a night of joy as some of the best talent in Southern Gospel Music poured their hearts out to a full house.
The night started with a couple of beautiful numbers by Lecia Appling, who serves as the church Choir Director. You could have left after she sang and been happy, but you would have missed some more great singing by The Bowling Family, The Browders, and The Pruitt Family. It was a night of close family harmony.
The Bowlings came on first and quickly won the crowd over, but when they brought those three young daughters out, they simply stole the show. Next came the Browders and they sing with so much energy and excitement that I was beginning to wonder how the last group was ever going to keep up with the pace of the program.
Without so much as a skip in the adventure, The Pruitt Family took command of the audience as they brought the crowd to a rousing ovation with their hit song “You Don’t Even Want To Make Me Prayâ€.
The song is currently #16 on Singing News for June.
Charlie Sexton kept the program moving and the crowd laughing as Emcee for the evening’s festivities.
Mark Pruitt stated, “What a great night we had the other night at our 3rd Annual Celebration, ‘A Night of Southern Joy.’ Thank you to everyone who came out to Celebrate our 3 years in ministry! Who’s ready for next year?â€
