The countdown has begun! We are 24 hours away from the start of Southern Gospel Weekend. Three great days of Gospel music with over 30 artists! The city of Oxford, Alabama is a-buzz talking about Southern Gospel Weekend. Many of the artists have arrived and are preparing for the start of three great days. As one attendee from last year said, it was like three days of old style Campmeeting Revival! We hope that it is exactly that same way again this year.
Opening the evening on Thursday, March 10th, will be Scott Roberts and the Five O’clock Band. The National Anthem will be performed by Exodus. Ken Rollins, Alabama Dept of Veterans Affairs and host of Veteran’s Issues Channel 24 will be the keynote speaker, following which will be the Introduction of Veterans and a patriotic song by the Sharps Quartet. The concert lineup includse Jason Runnells, Kristen Stanton, The Jonathans, Tina Wakefield, Brad Mount, the Pine Ridge Boys, Brothers 4, Kelly Coberly, Revived Quartet, Ava Kasich, The Chandlers, Chronicle and The Williamsons.
SGW salutes the U.S.Military and wishes to extend their appreciation to those who protect America. Members of the Military plus one friend are free on Thursday night.Â
Southern Gospel Weekend (SGW) is March 10th through 12th, with evening concerts beginning at 5:00pm every night. Friday and Saturday will include daytime showcases at 9:00am.
