Nashville, TN – Last Saturday, Lisa Chesser-Williamson was taken to Phoenix Indian Medical Center with severe abdominal pain. Tests confirmed the appendicitis diagnosis and surgery was performed immediately.
Lisa is recovering well and is expected to be released from the hospital on Tuesday. “The support has been overwhelming. People have contacted us nonstop since we’ve been here. Prayers have been answered. The surgery went well. She is in pain but otherwise doing great! We haven’t missed any of our services. Our eleven year old daughter Sadie stepped up to the plate and filled her mother’s spot – and she did it very well might I add! She is already an amazing talent. I’m anxious to see what God has in store for her life,”  stated Donnie Williamson.
The Williamsons, based out of Oklahoma, are coming off a banner year that included numerous award nominations including Songwriter of the Year nominations for Lisa Chesser-Williamson. They were also honored with their first Singing News #1 song, “Shout.” Currently, their new hit song, “Monday,” is # 30 on the Singing News national charts.
