(Nashville, TN) It was a special, ground-breaking day for StowTown Records as it received a record number of nominations during the Gospel Music Association Dove Awards Press Conference held Wednesday morning at Lipscomb University’s Allen Arena.
A total of 16 nominations were announced for the fast-rising label in anticipation of the 45th Annual GMA Dove Awards to be held October 7 at Allen Arena.
StowTown co-founder Wayne Haun, who received an astounding 15 total nominations during the event, was named as a nominee for the prestigious Producer of the Year award by guest presenter Gordon Mote. One of Southern Gospel’s most popular and well-known performers, producers, songwriters, and arrangers, Haun is a 14-time Dove Award winner.
Meanwhile, Haun himself announced the nominees for Southern Gospel Album of the Year that included Oh What A Savior by Ernie Haase & Signature Sound and The Lord is Good by The Collingsworth Family.
In addition, “Search Me O God†from the Cathedrals Family Reunion album as well as “That’s Why†by Ernie Haase & Signature Sound were each announced as finalists for the Southern Gospel Performance of the Year.
Cathedrals Family Reunion was also nominated for the Special Event Album of the Year.
 Both the Song of the Year as well as the Southern Gospel Song of the Year category nominations included “I Can Trust Him†by The Perrys along with “That’s Why†by Ernie Haase & Signature Sound.
Devin McGlamery’s “As Long As You Will Walk With Meâ€Â and TaRanda Greene’s “Stronger†were each selected as a finalist in the Inspirational Song of the Year category.
For Country Song of the Year, “Love With Open Arms†by Doug Anderson as well as “While I Still Can†by McGlamery were each nominated.
The final two StowTown nominations included McGlamery’s Love Is A Verb making the final list for Inspirational Album of the Year, while Anderson’s Drive was announced as a nominee for Country Album of the Year.
All winners will be announced at the awards show on Tuesday, October 7. The GMA Dove Awards, which will begin at 6:30 p.m. CT, will air globally on Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN).
