NASHVILLE, Tenn.— Nationally-acclaimed comedian Marty Simpson is set to bow Clean If It Kills Me, his DVD debut, tomorrow. Featuring more than an hour of fan favorites from his popular stand-up show, Clean If It Kills Me also offers bonus footage, including an award-winning original short film and memorable moments from Simpson’s years as an All-American football standout.

Grounded in the humor of his daily life, highlights of the DVD include stories from Simpson’s tenure as a high school football coach, along with infamous antics of his children and pets. Winner of the 2012 “Clean Comedy Challenge,” Simpson’s platform is inspired by a principle learned as a college football placekicker: God is good—win or lose, make or miss.

“I am a Christian, and I am a comedian, and therefore all of my comedy, whether themed in Christian topics or not, will always be run through my mental and spiritual filter of Christ inside me,” he shares.

Simpson’s unique brand of stand-up is solidifying his reputation as one of America’s leading family-friendly comics. He has opened for such renowned humorists as Dennis Miller, Tim Hawkins, Pauly Shore and “Last Comic Standing” winners Jon Reep and John Heffron, and he performs at top comedy venues including Flappers in Los Angeles, Atlanta’s Punchline, and various Comedy Zone clubs around the country. Simpson is also regularly featured at churches, festivals and corporate events, among other appearances.

A former high school All-American and standout placekicker for the South Carolina Gamecocks, Simpson spent nine years as a teacher and varsity football coach, leading his team to South Carolina’s state championship. He has also been a sports radio talk show host and is a respected football analyst and a featured columnist for the Rivals.com network.
