Hosts and Performers Announced for 2013 Absolutely Gospel Music Awards

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – (February 8, 2013) – The administrators and staff of AbsolutelyGospel.com  are proud to announce this year’s hosts and first list of performers for the 2013 AbsolutelyGospel Music Awards Celebration.

The hosts for this year’s Awards Celebration are two of the industry’s most respected and beloved couples. Sharing hosting duties this year are acclaimed vocalists Darrell & Chris Freeman (of The Freemans) and Jim & Melissa Brady.

Darrell & Chris Freeman have been traveling with their family group The Freemans for over 20 years. The couple is easily one of the industry’s most recognizable names who have partnered together in ministry. Though the group is not nominated this year, The Freemans will debut a new song on the Awards Celebration that will be from the group’s hotly anticipated new studio recording to be released later this year.

Jim & Melissa Brady have been charming audiences both together and in their own separate ministries with the Booth Brothers and as a soloist respectively. As a part of the Booth Brothers, Jim has been recognized both as a member of the group and for his songwriting contributions over 30 times in the Absolutely Gospel Music Awards program. Jim and Melissa made history this year by being the first couple to be nominated separately in the Songwriter of the Year (Artist) category.

In addition, the first list of performers is now available. Performing on this year’s Awards Celebration are the Booth Brothers, The Isaacs, Karen Peck & New River, Brian Free & Assurance, Sisters, The Bowling Family, Tribute Quartet, Soul’d Out Quartet, The Browders, The Williamsons, and the aforementioned Freemans and Melissa Brady.

More information on the 2013 Absolutely Gospel Music Awards Celebration will be forthcoming, including additional performers and sponsors.  The date for this year’s Absolutely Gospel Music Awards Celebration is Tuesday, April 9, 2013.  The event will again take place at the River of Life Church in Smyrna, Tennessee and is free to the public.
